Origin: USA

Bio:
Hired Gun is the definition of emcee: skilled party rocker, and an ambassador for the art. Born in New Jersey he was raised on Black Pride, Middle Class numbness, a steady diet of overt racism, and DJ Red Alert. Through his journey in life he’s taken his triumphs, observations and setbacks and expressed them in the only way that made sense, rhyme. Very much aware of the traditions and heritage that make up the Diaspora, Hired looks to set upon the path of most resistance, share himself, and get you to question the world around you. As a lone artist, he brings raw energy and skill to the mic, while at the same time giving you his side of his people’s story. No apologies. No regrets. One of the most versatile emcees of his generation, he is Hired Gun.

The Future is bright for Hired Gun. Still a member of 3rd Party and ESP Hired recently has collaborated on a project with Frequency Activism, “Hip Hop in Strange Places”.

He also has appeared on the critically acclaimed second release from Core Rhythm, “Ronin” (who together with fellow emcee Tranquill are the super group, “Drop Squad”). 3rd Party continues to perform and put on one off events, as the “Re-Education Project” takes hold. In the here and now is Fresh Roots Music. The first in a series of solo projects for Hired Gun will come out this year, “The People’s Verses”. With all of the experiences, and connections made on multiple levels, Hired felt it time to bring his full self to the forefront and continue building the dream of producing independent music.
